CITB welcomes new trustees to guide the future of construction training
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is pleased to announce the appointment of five new voluntary trustees to its Board. Rachael Cunningham, Nikki Davis, Stephen Gray, Julia Heap, and Herman Kok will join the Board from 1 April 2024, each serving a four-year term.

Open Doors, delivered by Build UK in partnership with CITB, takes visitors behind the scenes to showcase the fantastic range of careers available in construction. And there is something for everyone with more than 210 events taking place across Great Britain from Monday 18 to Saturday 23 March 2024.
CITB hosts UK Plant Operator of the Year 2023
On Saturday 30 September, CITB’s National Construction College, Bircham Newton, hosted the Plant Operator of the Year competition. Almost 1,000 people attended to watch the 69 competitors battle it out to be crowned UK Plant Operator of the Year. After a day of demonstrating outstanding skill and knowledge, Gordon Durno from Currie Contractors, lifted the prize and was awarded a cheque for £10,000.
