The project will identify and upskill onsite assessors in the small and medium-sized enterprise community. This will support the development of assessment infrastructure for the demolition, plant and plastering industries across Great Britain.

This solution engages companies and the workforce in the finishes and interiors sector, by providing On-site Assessment and Training (OSAT) NVQs and identifying individuals as assessors working in conjunction with our training providers. This will be done by funding for 250 OSAT NVQs and 50 assessor qualifications.

This project is focused on training new assessors in Passive Fire and Finishes and Interiors

This project will allow assessors to train and develop in the areas of lifting operations, construction plant and demolition plant.
King Lifting will lead the project to train industry experts to become Vocational Qualification assessors or quality assurers, as well as CPCS testers. This is to create greater access to training/testing and assessment for the lifting, construction plant and demolition plant sectors.

Simian are committed to extending its current scaffold training delivery, by increasing capacity and the number of courses it offers throughout Great Britain.

This contextualised curriculum project will consist of the development of a suite of resources, available online, for the use of teachers, careers advisers and industry ambassadors that raise the profile and desirability of careers in construction and the built environment.

The project will also include the piloting and roll out of these resources in schools.

Commission: Employer led training and employment pathways into construction for ex-offenders. The project will map existing training / employment provision for ex-offenders.

It will develop tailored frameworks encompassing employers, offender management services, training and third sector to detail clear pathways into construction employment. The frameworks will reflect existing skills shortages and upcoming needs across Wales.

The project will create a Scotland-wide sustainable framework of employer led learning and employment pathways into construction for ex-offenders. The project will enable employers of all sizes to partner with prisons and other services on a longer term basis and help to identify other possible interactions. By the end of the project, participants will have built a coherent framework which takes account of demand, best practice and employer incentives.

Commission: Construction contextualised curriculum to improve the appeal of working in construction. The aim of the project is to develop a pan Wales construction curriculum resource that facilitates and standardises an end to end offer, which is currently only undertaken by construction companies on an ad hoc basis. 

The project will support teachers and careers advisors to contextualise the curriculum by developing curriculum support and guidance and will produce resources to support C&BE Welsh Baccalaureate challenges.
