The project will provide additional training for the existing workforce .
The purpose is to renew and / or gain a Sentinel proof of competency card to develop competent rail technical engineers. The project will deliver a blend of training initiatives, upskilling and enabling employees to undertake complex Engineering and Technical roles.
The aim is to improve employee retention and increase the pool of talent within the sector, along with enhancing employee skills and providing them with transferable qualifications.

The aim of this project is to deliver skills to construction firms working on Sherford Town which is being built outside Plymouth. This new town build is putting pressure on traditional house-building occupations in the area.
It requires specific skills due to the specialist building techniques being used on the site. These specialist skills include: English Bond Bricklaying, Traditional roofing Styles, Sash Windows, Dry Lining and Sealant operatives.
After the project, the local workforce will have been skilled to deliver the unique construction methods required to deliver a keystone regional project. Ex-military will have been given a pathway into construction and the opportunity to secure work.
