Running concurrently as a controlled programme alongside the regular intake of new employees, the project will deliver evidence-based comparisons as to the benefit of the bespoke additional interventions for the retention of new entrants.

The project will create a Scotland-wide sustainable framework of employer led learning and employment pathways into construction for ex-offenders. By the end of the project, participants will have built a coherent framework which takes account of demand, best practice and employer incentives.

The aim of the project is to develop a pan Wales construction curriculum resource that facilitates and standardises an end to end offer, which is currently only undertaken by construction companies on an ad hoc basis.
The project will support teachers and careers advisors to contextualise the curriculum by developing curriculum support and guidance and will produce resources to support C&BE Welsh Baccalaureate challenges.

The activity will run across Wales and will focus on schools that are not currently engaged or increase engagement with those that are already engaged students will partake in a construction process over a 6-8 week period, during after school clubs. As the lead delivery partner, Women into Construction will use innovative techniques to deliver advice and guidance on work experience and training to support women in to sustainable employment.
This advice and guidance will be based on best practice delivered in over 60 construction companies over 8 years and trialling new approaches in the West Midlands.

One organisation will receive the accreditation and a best practice case study will be developed to support other employers through the process.
After the project, one employer will become accredited in the ISO Lean Construction standard. Another will have undertaken training so they have the ability to do so. The guidance and training materials used to achieve this will be made available to industry so that other employers can go on the same journey and achieve accreditation.
