This apprenticeship course is for people who want to gain a vocational qualification in Waterproof Membrane Roofing Systems (Construction) Reinforced Bitumen Membrane Roofing: Built up Felt Roofing while gaining industry experience.
You’ll receive training in the theory of built up felt roofing, as well as enjoy comprehensive practical experience in the featured categories of training.

Teaching and assessment
18 weeks of training delivered over 24 months.
Week 1: Remote induction carried out via Teams meeting.
Weeks 2 to 17: Theoretical and practical training at NCC Inchinnan in two-week blocks.
Week 18: Final assessment week at NCC Inchinnan.

- Level 2 SVQ Waterproof Membrane Roofing Systems (Construction) Reinforced Bitumen Membrane Roofing
- CITB industry-specific training in Built up felt rofing

Methods of assessment
You’ll be regularly assessed using a range of methods, including written assessment, practical assessment, verbal questioning and presentation, and multiple-choice testing. You’ll also be required to complete college-based and site-based activity journals. You’ll be given ongoing clear, direct and constructive feedback to enable you to make progress and successfully complete the course.

Entry L3 Maths and English.
To help us assess your suitability for the course, you'll need to complete a skills learning exercise and possibly attend college for further tests.
