The level 6 Diploma is for construction site managers who are looking to achieve an NVQ management qualification through a formal traditional course. The course includes six one-day taught modules over six months, and two onsite assessment visits

Levy-registered employers can apply for CITB grants for approved Short duration courses (training that lasts from a minimum of 3 hours to maximum 29 days).

Work Experience grant can be claimed from 1 April 2020 to 30 September 2021. We pay grant for planned work experience days when it is an essential part of a construction-related degree.

New plant training standards and grants were launched from Monday 31 July 2023. Employers must use an Approved Training Organisation to receive grant for the new plant training standards.

We pay grants for learners' attendance on and achievement of a course that leads to the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Advanced Craft Certificate in a subject related to construction.

We pay grant for learners on the Specialist Applied-skills Programme (SAPs). These programmes last 18 months and contain several related modules, leading to a Level 2 or 3 National or Scottish Vocational Qualification (NVQ or SVQ).
